Fanzone Team of the Week – Matchday 27

Matchday 27 in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League was wild — goals galore, late drama, and moments of pure quality. And yes, we know… this week’s Team of the Week lineup looks nothing like a “normal” football formation. It’s downright barbaric. But hey, it’s fun — and it’s our list.

Here’s who made the cut for Matchday 27:

Goalkeeper
Wallace Magalane (FC Platinum) – Produced some huge saves to keep Platinum in the game for as long as possible. Unlucky to concede late, but still a strong performance between the sticks.

Defenders
Emmanuel Jalai (Dynamos) – The heartbeat of Dynamos’ right flank. Endless running, dangerous crosses, and a clever “half-assist” that helped set up Vusa Ngwenya’s equaliser.
Frank Makarati (TelOne) – Formidable at the back as TelOne romped to a 4-0 win over Bikita Minerals. Calm, composed, and dominant in the air — the foundation for that clean sheet.

Midfielders
Vusa Ngwenya (Dynamos) – Brought Dynamos level with a beautifully struck goal, showing great technique and composure under pressure.
Denver Mukamba (Dynamos) – The match-winner and the highlight of the week. A stunning left-foot volley into the top corner sealed the game against Scottland. Pure class.
Witness Shava (Triangle United) – Everywhere in midfield, showing silky skills, delivering an assist, and nearly scoring with a strike that rattled the crossbar.
Milton Chimedza (TelOne) – Two goals, endless energy, and the driving force in TelOne’s emphatic win. A complete performance.

Forwards
Tawanda Macheke (TelOne) – A dream outing: one goal and three assists. Involved in everything good TelOne produced going forward.
Arthur Banda (MWOS) – Delivered a vital goal and an assist, keeping MWOS competitive and proving his attacking quality once again.
Moses Demera (ZPC Kariba) – Clinical with two goals, leading ZPC’s charge in style.
Tymon Machope (Scottland FC) – Another brace. Another week of tormenting defenders. Machope is officially in “must-watch” form.

Who was your standout from this action-packed weekend? And what do you think of our “barbaric” all-out-attack lineup? Let us know — the debates are what make the Fanzone come alive!
