Matchday 23 brought drama, goals, and some brilliant individual moments as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League edges closer to its climax. From stunning goals to rock-solid defending, here are the standout performers who made Fanzone’s Team of the Week:
Goalkeeper – Tatenda Munditi (ZPC Kariba)
A rare and unforgettable moment — not only did he keep his side in the game with key saves, but Munditi scored a spectacular goal from a free kick. How often does a goalkeeper end up on the scoresheet?
Defenders:
Brian Kadamanja (CAPS United) – Shut down Highlanders’ most dangerous attacking threats and was composed throughout.
Arnold Mawadza (Triangle United) – Contributed a goal and helped secure a clean sheet as Triangle continue their resurgence.
Jordan Pedra (Triangle United) – Another Triangle stalwart, also on the scoresheet and key in maintaining the shutout.
Bruce Kangwa (CAPS United) – Continues to show leadership and consistency in the heart of defence.
Midfielders:
Nigel Matinha (MWOS FC) – Recently back from injury and immediately influential, controlled the game and created chance after chance.
Abubukar Moffat (MWOS FC) – A constant threat going forward and scored MWOS’ only goal of the match.
Tanaka Shandirwa (CAPS United) – Caused all sorts of problems for the Highlanders defence and tested Muza repeatedly.
Jarrison Selemani (FC Platinum) – Dominant in midfield once again and continues to be a regular in the Team of the Week.
Nyasha Chintuli (CAPS United) – Found the back of the net and maintained his rich vein of form.
Forward – Lynoth Chikuhwa (Chicken Inn)
Another strong outing and another goal for the in-form forward, helping Chicken Inn cruise past Dynamos.
