Fanzone PSL Team of the Week – Matchday 20

After an exciting Matchday 20 in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, the Fanzone Team of the Week reflects the standout players who made the biggest impact across the weekend’s fixtures. Here is why each player has earned their place in our best eleven.

In goal, Wallace Magalane earns the gloves after his crucial saves for FC Platinum, particularly a stunning stop that helped his side secure a narrow victory over Chicken Inn.

At the back, Zambia’s Chinga Chitoshi showed immense heart in defence, while Terrence Daka’s exceptional goal for Yadah, curling straight in from a corner, gave them an unexpected win over MWOS FC. Webster Tafara was a rock at the back for Simba Bhora, commanding the defence effectively.

In midfield, Ali Maliselo was impressive in Triangle’s 1-1 draw with CAPS, showing composure and creativity. Emmanuel Ziocha delivered two superb assists and remains the PSL’s top provider, while Tawanda Chatuluka was dynamic and gave Triangle hope with his direct runs. Mthokozisi Msebe is the star of the weekend, scoring a two brilliant goals to help Scottland upset Ngezi Platinum away from home.

Up front, Isaskar Gurirab also bagged two goals, continuing his fine form. Washington Navaya netted the winner for TelOne against Dynamos, underlining his status as the league’s top scorer. Innocent Masiwa’s back-to-back goals were crucial in Bikita Minerals’ win over Kwekwe United.

Honourable mentions go to Wilson Mensah of MWOS FC, who was having an excellent game before injury, and Nickson Nyasulu, whose goal ensured FC Platinum beat Chicken Inn.
