Details as to what transpired at Dynamos’ training session today, where the club’s kit manager Harry Lusengo was involved in an ugly standoff with players, have emerged.
Lusengo, who is the son of board chairman Bernard Marriot Lusengo, blocked the team bus from leaving the Christ Ministries High School football pitch, where Dynamos were preparing for this weekend’s league match against GreenFuel.
A Dynamos player who spoke to Fanzone on condition of anonymity said Lusengo had a misunderstanding with the Dynamos team bus driver, and that was the genesis of the scuffle.
“Harry came to training just before we had finished our session. He was driving a white Honda Fit, which we don’t know to whom it belongs,” said the player.
“He was driving like a maniac, and that is when someone asked him to slow down, as he could potentially run over one of the players. That is when he lost it.
“He drove the car to the exit point and blocked the bus from being driven out of the training ground.
“He argued that the driver was messing with the writing person, and he would pay for it. Despite efforts to persuade him to remove the car, Harry did not budge, and we eventually used public transport to get to the central business district,” added the player.
Dynamos have since released a statement condemning Lusengo’s actions, as well as confirming his suspension with immediate effect.
