For the umpteenth time, there is drama in the blue half of Harare.
Trouble giants Dynamos, who are flirting with relegation just 11 games into the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign, have pressed the panic button and “restructured” their technical team.
DeMbare have won just one game so far this season and last celebrated a goal on March 30, when they edged Simba Bhora 1-0 at Rufaro, to the ire of their ever-demanding faithful.
The Moses Maunganidze-led executive announced yesterday that there will be a new technical team after relieving head coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe of his duties.
“Following a thorough review of the team’s current performance and log standings, the club has resolved to take immediate action to restore its competitive edge,” the club wrote. “To address the performance slump, the management has decided to restructure the current technical team in its entirety following due process,” Dynamos said in a statement.
Current Kwekwe United coach Saul Chaminuka, who was suspended by the equally troubled Premiership debutants last week, is believed to be the one chosen by Dynamos board chairman Bernard Marriot-Lusengo.
Recently appointed strikers coach Takesure Chinyama will remain at the club, while Chigowe’s assistant Mark Mathe will not retain his place in the new technical team.
Dynamos face fellow strugglers and city rivals CAPS United at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
