Swiss international Dan Ndoye has completed a transfer to Nottingham Forest, signing a five-year contract with the Premier League club. The 24-year-old departs Bologna after two seasons in Italy’s top division.
Ndoye played a key role during the previous campaign, netting nine goals in 41 appearances across all competitions. He made headlines in May by scoring the decisive goal in Bologna’s Coppa Italia final victory over AC Milan – a win that secured the club’s first major silverware in over five decades.
Upon his arrival at the City Ground, the winger expressed his enthusiasm about the move. “Forest is going through an exciting phase, and I was immediately drawn to the vision here,” he said. “This club has great ambitions and a rich legacy. I’m eager to get started.”
Switzerland star adds to summer business
Since making his debut for Switzerland in 2022, Ndoye has represented his country 22 times and found the net on three occasions. His international experience adds depth to a Forest side already active in the transfer market.
He becomes the third notable arrival of the summer window, joining from Bologna after previous signings Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha were brought in from Brazilian side Botafogo. The trio is expected to strengthen key areas of Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad ahead of the new season.
Key players depart and stay at City Ground
Ndoye’s arrival follows the departure of Anthony Elanga, who made the switch to Newcastle United. However, Forest secured a major boost by retaining Morgan Gibbs-White.
Despite Tottenham Hotspur triggering a £60 million clause in his previous deal, the England midfielder opted to stay and commit to a new contract with the club, signaling his continued commitment to the project at Forest.
