Dynamos have lost their last two league games and failed to score in both, a reflection of where exactly the struggling giants are.
Head coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe did not get enough support from the Moses Maunganidze-led executive during the pre-season transfer, and expectedly, the Glamour Boys did not attract the best players in the league.
In fact, they lost three key players: captain Frank Makarati joined, while goalkeeper Martin Mapisa joined Premiership debutants MWOS, and midfield workhorse Fredrick Ansa Botchway signed for Scottland.
Of the key players who were at DeMbare last season, only Warriors right back Emmanuel Jalai was retained.
After 1-0 defeats to Manica Diamonds and Chicken Inn, Dynamos travel to Norton on Monday, to face high-flying log leaders MWOS.
Ironically, the man who can pile more misery on Dynamos is their own son, who played for and coached them—Lloyd Mutasa.
The seasoned coach has done incredibly well at MWOS, with his charges topping the table heading into matchday 7.
Mutasa’s charges boast of the best defense in the Premiership, having conceded just one goal in six matches.
DeMbare need to be at their best to become only the second team to score past Mapisa, as the Glamour Boys have scored just two goals all season.
Chigowe insists the two defeats in the last two matches will motivate them to get a result against MWOS.
“We have got an idea of how most football clubs play. We know that they (MWOS) are on a roll,” said Chigowe.
“We have tasted defeat in two consecutive matches. That should spur us on to give a very good fight in Norton,” he added.
The cheapest ticket for the clash at the recently homologated Ngoni, has been pegged at U$5, while VIP tickets will cost $20.
