Breaking: Justice Mugota Chasura resigns as Jumbo Giants coach

‎Justice Mugota Chasura has resigned as the head coach of Jumbo Giants Football Club, just a month after taking the reins.

‎The resignation comes after a reported clash with the team executive over player signings, with Chasura pushing for experienced players to bolster the squad, while the executive preferred to stick with the core team that won promotion from Division 2.

‎Chasura had recommended several players, including Peace Makaha, Cleopas Kapupurika, and Brilliant Chamisa, but the executive insisted on retaining local talent for the team’s maiden Northern Region Soccer League campaign.

‎”Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation as Head Coach of Jumbo Giants, effective 05 February 2026. I appreciate the opportunity to have led the team and wish the club all the best in its future endeavors, he wrote.

‎The Northern Region Soccer League kicks off in a few weeks, leaving Jumbo Giants FC scrambling to find a new head coach.
