Blanket Mine are one game away from winning the 2026 Central Region Soccer League title, which will guarantee their passage into the Premier Soccer League for the 2027 season.

With three games left to play, Blanket Mine are seven points ahead of their closest rivals Kwekwe United, and a win in their next game will all but seal the title with an unassailable lead with two games to spare.

As it stands, Blanket Mine have 77 points after securing a convincing 3-0 win over ZRP Gwanda FC at Sabiwa Stadium on Wednesday, extending their remarkable unbeaten run to 31 matches.

Matthew Hlabati notched a brace to take his tally to 20 goals on the Central Region Soccer League goal charts, as Blanket Mine made a big stride towards the ultimate goal.

The Gwanda side will now face Shurugwi FC on Saturday in a match that could seal the title, and they will go into it full of confidence after Shurugwi suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat to Chapungu FC at Ascot Stadium on Wednesday.
